Jennifer loves few things more than getting our family together for a family photo shoot. And if I am honest, it isn’t my favorite.
It is probably just PTSD from the times when our kids were younger. We would bribe them with everything under the sun to try to get a good shot. At the end, everyone would be stressed and the pictures we paid for would show it.
The last couple of years have been different. Three years ago we had a friend and talented Photographer Kristin Johnson take a few shots for my campaign. That photo shoot turned out wonderfully.
This year, we were hoping for lightning to strike twice.
For the last several years we have become avid followers of Bartow High School Basketball. That would be back-to-back state champions Bartow High School 😄.
During that time we met a young man who serves as the team photographer – Joe Freeman. I followed Joe’s work on Twitter and could see the talent and his unique eye to capture a moment. Those things were pretty obvious.
I think the thing that really makes a great family photographer is the ability to create a relaxed and fun environment. Joe was great with our family. He was patient, listened to our ideas and was willing to play around with different shots and scenery.
I think you can see that in the pictures that he captured.
What made it doubly sweet is when you can find someone on the come up who is hustling to build something new and give him or her a shot.
I’m really grateful for the time he took with our family. His rates are very reasonable and he is willing to work with your schedule. To see his work with our family check out our photos below. To see more of his work or to book some time with him, find him on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
Thanks for these great memories Joe!
