God is faithful, even when I am not faithful. Therefore, the security of my life doesn’t rest on my shoulders or my ability to be faithful. What a wonderfully freeing thought. I am as secure as God is trustworthy. Here is a firm foundation.

This doesn’t mean that my actions have no meaning. On the contrary, how I now live is a reflection of this truth. Because I am secure, I am set free to love without fear. I can give freely without worrying that I will run out. I can serve others without concerning myself with recognition.
