We wrapped up our grand tour of the Big Apple with brunch at Tavern on the Green. The restaurant was recently remodeled and is beautiful. We took the long way through Central Park to get there. I was amazed that something so beautiful was dropped in the middle of the city. It is a runners and dog walkers paradise. After so much walking a few bloody mary’s and mimosas were what the doctor ordered.
After brunch, we walked up through Central Park West. We came across the American Museum of Natural History (Think Night at the Museum) but didn’t have time to go in.
By this time, we were keeping a pretty close eye on the clock. We arranged a late checkout but were planning to leave for the airport around 1 pm. We headed back to the hotel to grab our things and jumped in the Uber to begin our trip back home.
Since our flight was delayed a little, we got a bite to eat at the airport and played a NSFB (not safe for blog) game of “What Do You Meme“. It was very funny but there were even some cards we couldn’t play, especially while sitting in an airport restaurant! ???
When it was time to board, we caught our flights back home. Grabbed a bite to eat at a pretty fancy place called Chili’s. Maybe you’ve heard of it. All that was left to do was to get some sleep and go pick up Anna and Max in the morning.
