For several days last week I noticed Anna’s backpack was a little heavier than usual. I thought nothing of it until I saw her counting out a wad full of “Tiger Tickets”. Her school uses a reward system that provides orange tickets to students for good behavior.

Anna usually has a nice stack of these tickets because she is a pretty compliant kid. But when I heard her tick off 97 I knew something had to be up. So I asked her, “How in the world did you get all those Tiger Tickets?”

“It was simple really dad” came her reply.

Turns out that during recess each day she has been setting up a “store” and selling some of her old toys and trinkets to the other kids in her class.

“You wouldn’t believe how much they LOVE my old stuff…”

Apparently, my daughter is Henry Ford in knee socks and a jumper. If you really know Anna it isn’t hard to imagine it. She always has something up her sleeve. Or, in this case hidden in her backpack.
