Work continues over at the new house. But, what anyone who has ever remodeled a home will tell you the smallest little updated can snowball very quickly. Not long after closing, we realized that the house still has copper piping. While it isn’t leaking yet, it makes me very nervous laying all new floors down when it is just a matter of time.
So, we call the plumber.
I went by last night see how things were progressing. Thankfully, my brother Dan is helping with much of the renovation since I work about 16 hours a day during the week. In the process of preparing the ceiling and walls for a knockdown texture, he discovered what appears to be a leak in the hall closet.
So, we hang more drywall.
While I am not ready to adopt full-blown Tom Hanks Money Pit status I am starting to get a little uneasy. 🙂
The good thing is that when we get finished the place will look great. Just have to keep moving. Hoping to have the knockdown completed this weekend, but that might be a stretch.
