We thought for sure we were done. After all like my friend Zach says, “Only crazy people have four kids.” He should know.

We had gone so far as to tell our foster care agency that we were going to drop our license from 2 kids to just the one we are currently loving on.

Then we received a note about “J”.

One year old and stuck in an emergency shelter. If you have the extra space and the extra love to give how can you not step in and help? We told them to bring him to us. That was a week ago.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. He has struggled to adjust to a healthy routine. He is making improvements though each day. It’s amazing how far a little love can carry a person.

Other than the extra diapers, food, noise, laundry, mess & fun having four kids isn’t that much different than having three. Not sure how long he will stay yet. But, in the meantime we get to love him.
